Charlene Hornsby passes away

It is with a sense of both joy and sadness that we received the news this morning that Charlene Hornsby went to be with the Lord.
Charlene, whose husband, Billy was the founding president of the ARC, was a friend to many of us. While we rejoice at the thought of the reunion of Billy and Charlene, we will miss her greatly.
Please remember Chris and Tammy Hodges, David and Trudy Bezet, Phil and Shary Long and the extended family in your prayers today.

Church of the Highlands will host a memorial service celebrating Charlene's life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Grants Mill Campus with Pastor Greg Surratt officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Association of Related Churches, (ARC), a non-profit ministry which trains, resources and supports church planters.

Billy and Charlene both graduated from high school together with my wife. They became dear friends to us in 1968, but we lost contact when they moved from LA. I last talked to Billy in 2004 and was unaware of his passing. Both Brenda and I were shocked when we read of dear Charlene's death and were both in tears when we read that Billy had passed away earlier.
