I love the month of February because I love Valentine’s Day! I love all the hearts, chocolates and roses! It’s just such a great reminder to show our loved ones how much we love them.
I remember the first Valentine’s Day for Dino and I, where we were just starting to talk some, just enough to give each other a Valentine’s Day card. I remember feeling stressed out, trying to pick the right card. And I REALLY liked him so I wanted to convey that somewhat, but not too much or come across too forward for sure. So I remember picking a general card saying that I enjoyed being around him and that he was cute and sweet! However, I was hoping Dino’s card to me would convey his crazy love for me and be very mushy! But it ended up starting out, “Hello, Friend…” and that’s all I remember because my heart stopped at “friend.” Why? Because I wasn’t willing to put myself out there in my card to him, but I sure wanted him to! (LOL)
I think this month is a great opportunity for us to put ourselves out there and LOVE like we never have before! Love with no strings attached – wanting nothing in return. Love the people that love you and love those that don’t love you too much! Love covers all. It covers a multitude of sins.
- Love your hubbies. Compliment him, build him up, honor him!
- Love your kiddos. Teach them God’s way, live what you preach before them, love them unconditionally!
- Love each other, Girls. No comparison, competing or tearing down one another, but be each others biggest cheerleaders!
Believe the best! Enjoy every day!
