MANY FACES OF ARC: Get to know the ARC Family
The ARC family consists of a growing network of leaders from all around the globe. Each person brings significant value and something unique to the ARC family and body of Christ. We believe in the strength of relationships, and value each person’s wisdom and experience, and we want to share that with you.
Describe yourself in 3 words:
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
I climbed and summited Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest free-standing mountain on the continent of Africa (19,341 feet). A few months later, I completed one of the toughest events on the planet called Tough Mudder which is a 10-mile long mud run, replete with 20 military-style obstacles. What I learned in 2013 doing both events was that the journey to the finish line will always feel insurmountable. But what I also learned after finishing both events is that I am tougher than I ever realized! It is clear to me now that with relationships that encourage accountability and the powerful presence of God leading me, the next destination on the journey is always attainable.
How would you describe your hopes and desires for your life?
My prayer is that God would use my story of His redemption power in my life to help set people free from their past, from addiction, from emotional un-health and so much more! God has done incredible work in my life, but I had to partner with Him in the process of healing. We got to do the work! It’s worth it! I am a living testimony of recovery from the disease of alcoholism. It snuck up on me because I had un-dealt with issues of trauma that surfaced and I walked through the hardest time of my life but by God’s grace and mercy I am free! We are overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. I believe my assignment in this season is to share my story and kick shame in the face every time I do!
