Looking for an idea to bring together families with young children and even teens—especially during the summer? Host monthly Lego Nights at your church or ask small groups to think missionally and host individual Lego Nights in their homes and invite their neighbors. Check out these tips.
Think invites. Pass out fliers in your neighborhoods and equip your church with an email they can forward to friends and neighbors. Post on your website and Facebook pages.
Think Lego. Recruit youth to help plan and emcee contests. Ask families to bring their Legos and give them ample room to create and build. Show The Lego Movie on one large screen and blast the movie soundtrack in the background.
Think food and other activities. Whether it’s pizza, sub sandwiches or small cups of popcorn, have some kind of food and drink on hand. Think about hosting a photo booth and use props from the movie.
Think follow up. Make sure you let families know about the next Lego Night. If you have an email address for guests, send an invitation to the next event.
