Sometimes, one “yes” to God changes everything.
For Pastors Chuck and Ashley Martin, that yes came after a season of heartbreak. In 2015, they walked through the loss of their daughter, followed by years of infertility. But in the middle of that pain, God planted a vision in their hearts that would one day bring new life…not just to their family, but to an entire city.
“During 21 Days of Prayer, I felt the Lord say, ‘The twins—one’s a child and one’s a church. I want you to pastor Glory Bell.’” — Chuck Martin
With that word, they stepped out of comfort and into calling. With the blessing of their pastors, they left their long-time church home in Houston, partnered with ARC, and began preparing to launch a life-giving church in Waco, Texas, a place they’d never lived but where they felt a deep confirmation of God’s purpose.
When they arrived, God began affirming their decision at every turn. From divine connections with people in the city to miraculous provision, the story of Glory Bell is one of open doors, answered prayers, and redemption.
“We moved to Waco with no team, just a word from God. But He was already stirring the hearts of people all over the nation to be part of what He was doing.” — Ashley Martin
Today, Glory Bell Church is thriving and even the space they occupy tells a story of redemption. A building once home to darkness and division is now filled with worship, prayer, and life through Glory Bell Coffee, a place where dozens have found peace, community, and faith in Jesus.
This is more than a church plant. It’s a reminder that when you say yes to God, He can write a story beyond anything you imagined.
