JOHNSONKREIS Construction started as J.A. Johnson Company in 1992 with work on hospitality facilities as well as the Birmingham-Southern College campus. In 2000, Bill Kreis joined partner Jess A. Johnson to form JOHNSONKREIS. Together, Jess and Bill, bring more than 60 years combined experience in the industry. The two partners set their vision toward providing exceptional service and value through quality, honesty, and integrity. JOHNSONKREIS specializes in all types of commercial construction including institutional, hospitality, medical, industrial, retail, and church facilities. JOHNSONKREIS works in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Texas and Georgia, North Carolina, Florida.

Bill Kreis
Bill has been a partner at JOHNSONKREIS Construction, Inc., based in Birmingham, Alabama for over 20 years. Originally from Montgomery, AL, Bill moved to Birmingham with his family. Upon graduating from high school, Bill attended and graduated from Auburn University. Post-graduation, Bill worked with two large general contractors in Birmingham before partnering with Jess Johnson to form JOHNSONKREIS Construction. Bill has been married to Kim Seifried Kreis from Dothan, Alabama for 35 years. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. Bill enjoys activities with his children and grandchildren, traveling with Kim, working in the garden and raising bees. Bill is a member and attends the Church at Brook Hills and is on the Alabama Builders & Contractors of Alabama and The Alabama Women’s Soccer Foundation boards.
