February ARC Launch Event Recap

We recently held our first ARC Launch event of 2022! Close to 100 leaders joined us at Faith Family Church in Baytown, Texas, as our ARC launch coaches, pastors, and staff shared the nuts and bolts of church planting.⁣⁣ From stewarding the spiritual, to funding strategies, to the impact of outreach – our incredible team of speakers broke down the basics of planting a church with ARC.

We kicked off the week by discussing the five steps to creating an effective buy-in story. The buy-in story communicates the ‘why’ behind your church plant, and helps connect people’s hearts to the vision of the church. It is a crucial step in the beginning of the church planting process!

We continued on with information-packed sessions on brand building, outreach, and practical strategies for effective marketing – three key areas of launching strong. Our team then hosted a Q&A panel covering the basics of recruiting. The goal of the ARC recruiting strategy is to ask ourselves what would it take to have the best first day possible and make every decision with that aim in mind. Our panelists – John Pomeroy of New Anthem Church, Kara Joines of Faith Family Church, and Josh Roberie of ARC –  took questions from the audience and shared from their own experiences with recruiting teams and coaching others through the process.

One of the most impactful sessions of the week came from Garrett Booth, pastor of Grace Church church in Houston, Texas, as he shared on the importance of stewarding the spiritual. The journey to plant a church is no small task. Though it is easy to get caught up in the process, it is crucial to stay fixated on God. His calling brought you to this point, and will carry you through the ups and downs as you move towards launch day and beyond.

We concluded the event with a session on funding and an incredible leadership panel. Our panelists brought their years of experience in both church planting and pastoring to share their advice on effective leadership strategies for future church planters. One of ARC’s founders, Scott Hornsby, closed out the week by praying a blessing over everyone in attendance.

From the event’s start to finish, our goal was to help attendees feel confident and equipped to move on to their best next step. For many, ARC Launch was the first step towards making their dream of planting a church a reality.

If you have a dream in your heart to reach your city with the message of Jesus, we are here to help you see that dream become a reality! We would love to see you at an upcoming ARC Launch event.
