Oceans Church | Irvine, CA

What started as a simple dream in the heart of Mark and Rachelle Francey has now become a movement that is uniting churches, igniting faith, and making history.

In 2018, the Francey family launched Oceans Church in Southern California, stepping into the unknown with a calling they never expected. They saw God move through every season—the early days of church planting, the challenges of COVID, and the incredible moments of growth. But in 2022, something even bigger was stirring.

Mark read about a historic baptism event at Pirate’s Cove, and God gave him a vision: thousands of people being baptized in California. That vision became Baptize SoCal in 2023, uniting 289 churches and baptizing nearly 4,200 people in one day—setting a new record for the largest water baptism in American history.

In 2024, the vision expanded even further. Baptize California became a statewide movement, with over 12,000 people baptized across California in a single day. Anchored by a flagship event at Huntington Beach—where more than 6,000 people took the step of faith—churches up and down the state united to see thousands more baptized in their communities.

And now, the movement is growing again. In 2025, Baptize America will take the vision nationwide—calling churches across the country to unite, believe, and see revival in their cities.

The journey of Oceans Church and Baptize America is one of obedience, bold faith, and a belief that God is preparing the Church for something greater.

What We Can Learn From Their Story:

  • God’s timing is perfect – The Francey family felt the call to plant a church years before the doors ever opened. Sometimes, obedience starts with waiting.
  • Small beginnings lead to great impact – Oceans Church started with fewer than 300 people, but they stayed faithful, and now they’re leading a global movement.
  • Revival starts with unity – Baptize America isn’t about one church—it’s about the whole Church coming together. When we unite, God moves in powerful ways.

Pentecost Sunday is becoming more than a date on the calendar—it’s becoming a movement of renewal and salvation across America. As Mark states, “If God can bring revival to California, He can do it anywhere.”
