Pastors Eddie and Lauren Jordan stepped into something bigger than themselves.
On February 1, after postponing their launch due to a major snowstorm, they officially launched The Well Church in Queens, New York. It was a moment marked by faith, courage, and deep love for their community. Launching on the first day of Black History Month, in a richly diverse neighborhood they call home, they weren’t just opening a church. They were making history.
Their journey wasn’t easy. Searching for a place to gather. Navigating obstacles. Wrestling with doubt. But through it all, God proved faithful. Again and again.
What makes this story powerful isn’t just the launch. It’s the heart behind it. A church rooted in culture, committed to serving beyond the four walls, and led by pastors who trusted God even when the path felt uncertain. As Eddie says so simply,
“This is His. It’s not ours.”
We’re so grateful to come alongside leaders like Eddie and Lauren and to witness what God is doing through The Well in Queens. We believe this is only the beginning.
Check out their story and be inspired by how one couple’s obedience is leading a community to Jesus.
