“God’s got a story in front of you that you could never imagine. It’s an adventure of faith, but He walks with you and provides for you.” – Pastor Aaron Stern

Fourteen years ago, Aaron and Jossie Stern arrived in Fort Collins with a simple but bold belief: God wanted a life-giving church in Northern Colorado, a place where people from every background could encounter Jesus and experience the Kingdom of God.

That vision became a reality.

Since launching in 2012 as ARC Church Plant #255, Mill City has faithfully served the city while remaining mobile for over a decade. Portable church. Temporary spaces. Constant setup and teardown. And through it all, unwavering faith that God was writing a bigger story.

In January 2026, their story reached a miraculous milestone.

Mill City Church stepped into its first permanent home, right in the heart of Fort Collins. A building originally constructed as a church in 1981, land set aside decades earlier by a developer for a house of worship, now restored and re-purposed to continue serving the Kingdom of God.

For Aaron and Jossie, this building represents more than walls and signage. It represents roots. A place where doors are open seven days a week, where presence replaces portability, and where the church can fully embed itself in the life of the community.

Fort Collins is a unique city. A thriving college town with over 30,000 students at Colorado State University, yet only a small fraction actively engaged in spiritual life. The opportunity is enormous. And Mill City Church is positioned, planted, and prepared to meet it.

Their journey hasn’t been easy. Growth stretched them more than they expected. Faith was tested. But God provided every step of the way through people, partnerships, and the power of the body of Christ working together.

Check out their story of obedience and unwavering faith.

We’re deeply grateful for Aaron and Jossie’s faithfulness, for the legacy they are building in Fort Collins, and for the way God continues to establish His Kingdom through Mill City Church.
